![]() ![]() As I mentioned in my first post, I wasn't really happy with the ending, but overall it's a great game and I do recommend it to all fans of tactical RPGs, Viking games and perhaps even visual novels. but if anyone at Stoic sees this, please consider a drop in price for the next iterations - you'll turn this loyal fan of your (first?) offering into a life long one! Well, I just started playing it again today, because I wanted to try some alternate dialogue options and possible alternate endings(?), and also to try out hard difficulty mode. I hope I don't discourage anyone from picking it up, because the game is fantastic. ![]() I HATE going on like this, because again, I absolutely feel like I got my money's worth, I loved the game and in an era of $40 - $60 console titles with MAYBE 8 hour campaigns I feel like a jerk for complaining about this one. That said I can't help but feel the game should have been priced closer to 15 or 20 dollars, especially if I'm "expected" to buy two more. It was beautiful, it was unique, it oozed myth and it featured several gameplay aspects that just hit on many of the things I look for when playing. In a vacuum, I have no problem with what I payed for the game, I love supporting the developers and I absolutely got 24.99 UTILS of enjoyment out of it. The fact that it might be a trilogy is actually the only thing that disappointed me about the game. Ixamyakxim: I loved the game and was actually happy with the ending but only because. but if anyone at Stoic sees this, please consider a drop in price for the next iterations - you'll turn this loyal fan of your (first?) offering into a life long one! ![]() And yes Charles the game is a planned trilogy. Oooh wait I don't see spoiler tags so I won't go into detail in this post. I loved the game and was actually happy with the ending but only because. If you want to talk about any potential spoilers please give a clear warning. Are any of you annoyed by this sort of thing as well? Does anyone actually bother to sit through the entire list of backers, for whatever reason?īy the way, I'd like to try and keep this topic mostly spoiler free, as to not ruin the experience for those who have yet to complete ( or start ) the game. By the time I finally decided to quite the screen, the ending theme was long over and the screen was still scrolling through names beginning with the letter C or D, I think. But beyond that, why should I care about the specific names of a few thousand people I'll most likely never know or hear of again? For me it further cheapened the ending atmosphere and credits screen to some extent. Yes, all of them have donated a few bucks, which helped make this project succeed, and I appreciate that. How many possible endings are there, just two? Or do some of the earlier decisions have an impact on the ending?įor something completely different, but vaguely related: What's with this trend to include all of the Kickstarter backers during the credits screen? This isn't the first game where I've noticed this and I don't really get the point. Are they already working on a sequel or expansion. I thought it was rather abrupt, perhaps a bit too depressing for my tastes, and it left too many questions unanswered. ![]() But while I'd give the game about a 90/100 score, the ending ( including the final battle ) seems more like a 70/100 at best. Just for the record, I think the game is beautiful and for me it was definitely worth the purchase price. I just finished the game for the first time and have to say I wasn't entirely satisfied with the ending. ![]()
